5th Latvian Orchestras Association festival 2022
The Latvian Orchestras Association celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. In cooperation with the municipality of the Talsi region, we invite you to the 5th Latvian Orchestras Association (LOA) festival, which will be held in August 2022 in several cities in the Northern Kurzeme region, Latvia.
The festival will bring together around 500 participants from 18 Latvian youth symphony and chamber orchestras that will perform works by Latvian contemporary composers, the arrangements of Latvian folk songs and popular melodies for youth orchestras.
LOA festival is an important event in the cultural life of Latvia and its main goal is to popularize the movement of youth and amateur orchestras, to promote the development of the creative potential of orchestras and their cooperation, as well as to provide bright and positive emotions to listeners of music of academic genres.
The participants of the festival are the orchestras of Latvian music and art schools, secondary schools, as well as various cultural institutions from all regions of Latvia. All orchestras are LOA members who continuously improve their artistic skills and successfully participate in both national and international festivals, as well as being part of the Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Celebration movement.
We are delighted to invite you to the concerts of the 5th LOA festival, which will take place in Talsi, Kolka, Valdeķi, Dundaga and Sabile on August 19 at 18:00, as well as in Roja (Rojas brīvdabas estrāde) on August 20 at 15.00!
